It was a very good news to learn that six prints from my “Halau” project have been accepted for the upcoming “Elements” photo exhibit in Honolulu. “Elements” is a juried competition, with selections this year judged by Ed Greevy, the noted documentary photographer.

The show includes work by other photographers from Hawaii, including friends Monte Costa and Aaron Dygart.

An Artisst Reception will be held on June 6, 2014, from 4:40 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. at Pauahi Tower, 2nd Floor, in the central business district. Pauahi Tower is at the corner of Bishop and South Hotel Streets.

The exhibit will open that night, which is also “First Friday” in downtown Honolulu. “Elements” will be shown in the large Pauahi Tower lobby, a terrific exhibit space with lots of beautiful natural light and high ceilings.

The show runs through June 2014. If you’re in Honolulu on June 6, 2014, I hope you’ll have a chance to drop by the opening reception.
